South African house duo Stones & Bones are back with some brand-new music – and the group has dropped not one but two brand-new tracks! he band explains that they have worked endlessly over the lockdown months to deliver two uplifting house grooves that will elevate your summer and help you forget about any hardships experienced in 2020.
The first release is a track titled ‘Uthando’ and features Halala Gumbi. Originally released last year, the duo explains that ‘Uthando’ is a love song about how real love can endure the hardships and struggle of a relationship.
The second release is a track titled ‘Rain’ and is a collaboration with Candyman and Manashe Musiq. This song also dissects matters of the heart and draws attention to the time and energy invested into reconnecting to a lover. Exploring the reasons why you fell in love in the first place, to be vulnerable with your partner, to encourage trust and to let go and open up.
“This is was a bit of a homecoming for us, going back to that soulful heartfelt music that we were making when we started Stones & Bones. Your authentic self will always be the best version of you,” the duo says in a statement.
Stones & Bones undoubtedly wear their hearts on their sleeves with these two records which ultimately lead them to the title of their forthcoming EP “In the Name of Love”, set for release in October 2020.
