Danny K and Kabelo Mabalane launched SHOUT For A Safer South Africa a few years ago after the death of Lucky Dube and quickly became a platform for local musicians (and personalities) to make a change and speak up about South Africa’s incredibly high crime rate. Since then, the organization released two tracks in order to raise funds and awareness for the campaign. Today, SHOUT drops their third single, penned by Mi Casa’s J’Something, called ‘Smile’. All proceeds for the song download this year will go towards building and maintaining libraries for various schools across the country.
This time around, comedy was clearly the name of the game and Danny, Kabelo and the rest of the artists delivered one hilarious music video! Artists such as Reason, Mi Casa, Tamara Dey, Chad Saaiman, Prime Circle, Daniel Baron, Freshlyground, iFani, Johnny Clegg, KO, Beatenberg, AKA, The Parlotones and many more joined forces to bring us this incredible track.
