If you enjoyed the local spin-off of business reality series ‘Shark Tank South Africa’, you’ll be happy to know that the series has been greenlit for season two. In fact, while the upcoming season is yet to have a TV Channel attached to it just yet, four out of the five new sharks taking part in the upcoming season have been confirmed.
In ‘Shark Tank SA’, entrepreneurs go up in front of a panel of esteemed successful South African business moguls, known as the “sharks”, who are willing to invest their own money and time in deserving and potentially lucrative business ideas. The trick is in convincing these highly critical and experienced sharks that it will be worth their while to invest in your business.
The Sharks for the second season of ‘Shark Tank SA’ will be the South African billionaire Quinton van der Burgh of Quinton Van Der Burgh Investments, Dr Jasmine Pega (UN Global Award honoree and entrepreneur), Lebo Gunguluza (serial entrepreneur and chairman of the Gem group of companies) and the tech-entrepreneur Prashanthi Akaloo. A fifth shark-investor will be announced soon.
