Former Disney princess, Selena Gomez, has been hard at work recording her upcoming second studio album, Revival. The singer, who shocked the world after posting the album cover which features her nude, has had a good year musically with collaborations with both Zedd and A$AP Rocky who features on the album’s debut single ‘Good For You’. Now, the singer is ready to move on and has officially dropped the next single ‘Same Old Love’.
The track is different from the previous two singles she released this year and has a strong pop direction. Selena, once again, sings about her broken relationship to Justin Bieber and belts out lyrics such as “I’m so sick of that same old love, the kind that breaks your heart.” Selena has been more involved in the process of this album and judging from the two singles released, it sounds like Revival is going to be a stellar pop album.
American singer Charli XCX features on the single’s chorus and bridge, although uncredited, and gives the track an extra punch. The song is incredibly radio friendly and we are confident this is going to be another smash hit for Selena. We just hope the whole album isn’t going to be about Justin…
