It’s been a hot minute since Idols South Africa winner Sasha-Lee Davids has released new music. But, the songstress is back after a hiatus with a new R&B jam titled ‘A Little Love’ – and it quickly reminds us why we fell in love with her.
It’s been 11 years since Sasha-Lee won the popular reality show and her new music showcases her growth effortlessly while still playing within a space which is commercial and trendy.
“I wrote the song years ago and was inspired by my own life and journey at the time. I was trying to inspire myself to live my life with a little more love in every way I could. I was in a place where I discovered myself through the process of writing and making music and it led me to write this song,” she shares.
Sasha-Lee, who wrote the track herself, describes the much-anticipated track as a “feel-good song”. “It has a great message that reminds us how important life is. If we do one simple thing and share some love, I believe that facing this tumultuous and harrowing pandemic we can be reminded that love does assist to conquer what we face as human beings”.
