It was back in November 2013 when we were ready and waiting for Russell Brand to land in South Africa for his ‘Messiah Complex’ show but the comedian didn’t have enough empty pages in his passport and was ultimately refused entry by the South African authorities.
Russell promised to reschedule and has announced that he will finally putting on two show in Johannesburg this October with shows on the 1st and 2nd at The Teatro at Montecasino and at the Grand Arena in Cape Town on the 3rd of October.
“Yes, That’s right. We are all individuals,” says Brand. “We’ve been told freedom is the freedom to fulfill our petty desires but TREW freedom is freedom FROM our petty desires.” Russell is one of the most respected comedians around the world and has even branched out into acting, writing and he even has his very own YouTube web series called The Trews. The web series has over a million subscribers on the YouTube page and Brand has uploaded over 300 videos.
The show is hailed as one of his best yet and we can’t wait to finally be able to see Russell Brand in action.
