Believe it or not, but it’s been three years since Ruan Josh dropped a commercial single. His latest release, 2020’s ‘Provider’, has been streamed over 800,000 times and his fans have been calling on the pop star to release new music. Now, Ruan drops ‘Verlore’ – a track he penned alongside his sister Franja Du Plessis.
Ruan explains that ‘Verlore’ is a love song but also a track about unconditional love. The singer says that the song is almost a message of hope for our future explaining that if we as humans would rather spend our energy on positivity, gratitude, sincerity and caring for our neighbour, the world will certainly be a better place.
The star premiered the track’s official music video which, as expected, also has an important message attached to it. “Even though it may sometimes feel as if you are just sinking deeper into your fears and problems (like the actress in the music video), there is always hope,” Ruan explains. “Be the hand that reaches out to someone who has lost something today and heal yourself in the process.”
