It’s been nearly two years since local singer Ross Jack dropped new music but Mr 745 makes his musical return this week as he drops his comeback single ‘HBK’.
The track is a soulful and melodic story about a dysfunctional romance. The song is laced with a combination of psychedelic guitars, hard hitting drums and bass and a melodic vocal delivery from the singer.
A combination of triple kick drum lines and dark synth bass and 808s makes the track a dark banger right in line with Jacks self-proclaimed genre “stoner pop’. Layered with elevating and soulful instrumentation HBK has a vocal delivery where you can feel the pain of a dysfunctional romance with love and life.
The singer says that ‘HBK’ serves as the perfect introduction to his latest body of work which he has spent months working on.
