Rocking The Daisies Announce Phase 1 Line-Up

Foster The People

I’ve got some very exciting Rocking The Daisies news for you all today! The folks behind the famous Rocking The Daisies festival have just announced the first phase of artists who will be taking to the stage over four days this October and preparations for one of Mzansi’s biggest music festivals kicks off.

This year, Foster The People, AKA, Matador, Mango Groove and Eats Everything will headline the explosive festival. Foster The People are famous for their smash hits Pumped Up Kicks and Helena Beat and after a huge amount of requests to bring them out from fans around South Africa, the festival has finally made it happen. International acts also added to this incredible line-up include Dublin-born, Berlin-based techno producer Matador and Bristol native Eats Everything.

Meanwhile, AKA will be making his Rocking The Daisies debut later this year with what promises to be an explosive set. Mango Groove will also be doing what they do best  with their magical blend of South African Marabi, Kwela and pop influences, together with the voice and presence of Claire Johnston and the evocative sound of the penny-whistle. Other local acts announced include Grassy Spark, Jimmy Nevis, DJ Invizable Computa General, Trancemicsoul, Killer Robot, Nakahne Toure, Nasty C, Moonchild Sanelly, Thieve, Red Tape Riot, Diamond Thug, F O L L O W E R, SIMMYSIMMYNA, Cassiem Latief, Kyle Mcclean, Lamagier and Tha Cutt with Lee Harvey Oswald.

Rocking the Daisies takes place from 6-9 October 2016 at the beautiful Cloof Wine Estate in Darling in the Western Cape.  With ten stages, art installations and production design that’ll blow your mind, you can expect the experience of a lifetime. The festival caters for everyone, from the hard core ‘I’m not gonna wash for four-days’ campers, to the glampers who are all about a hot shower, comfy beds and viewing deck couch service.
