After a five-year hiatus, they have dropped their eighth studio album, Born In The Echoes, and bring the old school electro sound back to popular music! Their smash hit ‘Go’ has done incredibly well in markets all around the world.
How Many Good Tracks: 5 of the 11.
What I Liked: The album has some brilliant production. The Chemical Brothers are producers first and it’s clear that they have perfected this craft. There are brilliant depths and layers to each and every track on the record, making this an incredibly unique album. Their use of instruments on this album is phenomenal and I love how each track was incredibly thought out.
What I Didn’t Like: If you’re a big fan of the duo, you will enjoy the album. For people who are enjoying the new EDM wave, this album will sound incredibly dated. There are heavy nineties influence on the record and it’s not something everyone will enjoy
