So much drama, not a lot of sense.
Starring: Keanu Reeves and Alfie Allen
Plot: John Wick is a mob hit man who, upon falling in love with a woman, decided to live a normal life. 5 years later, his wife dies and to make sure he’s not alone she arranges for a dog to be brought to him after her death – to keep him company. However, when three men decide to steal his car, they break in, beat him up and kill his dog. When he recovers, he sets to get the ones who killed his dog and get his revenge. He learns that the leader is the son of his former employer. And the man, wanting to protect his son from Wick’s wrath, sets out on a mission to kill him.
Remarks: This film is jam-packed with action! The story isn’t strong at all, but if it’s action you’re after, this is a film for you! Keanu does an okay job on the film but seems rather flat in his character. While there are beautiful cars, great fight scenes and twists, this film didn’t do much for me. I find it very hard to believe that Keanu kills around 150 men before getting his revenge on what seems like a 20-year-old boy. 150 professionals! There are many much stronger titles at the moment and I wouldn’t recommend you wasting your money on this film.
