RedOne, in his hay-day, was one of the most sought-after producer in the music business. He worked with everyone from Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias, Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo, Nicole Scherzinger, the Backstreet Boys, Nicki Minaj and many more. Now, he’s made his official comeback as he joins forces with Daddy Yankee, French Montana and Fifth Harmony’s Dinah Jade for ‘Boom Boom’ – and it’s the summer hit we’ve been waiting for.
Spanglish music has become increasingly popular around the world. ‘Despacito’ and ‘Mi Gente’ are two of the biggest singles of the year and RedOne hopes to continue this trend with ‘Boom Boom’. The track samples “Lady (Hear Me Tonight)” by Modjo and is thunderous celebration song. Filled with a variety of Caribbean sounds and percussions, RedOne has managed to create the cross-over track we’ve been waiting for – and the world agrees. In fact, the video raked up over 20 million views in its first 24 hours.
This track is definitely going onto my weekend playlist.
