A huge congrats are in order as Universal Music South Africa announces that Prince Kaybee’s debut album ‘Better Days’ has officially achieved gold status. This means that his 12-track debut album has sold over 20 000 copies nationwide as of today.
The singer burst onto the scene with the album last year and has taken the current music space by storm ever since. His radio and club hits “Better Days”, “Wajellwa” and recently “Friend Zone” have done amazing things for his career. Not only is he a fantastic live performer, but he gives his audience exactly what they want. So, it’s no surprise that he was able to reach gold status – something many local acts are still struggling to do.
On the album, Prince Kaybee says “I wanted people to hear my capabilities in the body of music and not just the singles and I think those who listen to the whole album will appreciate that.” He adds that the album and it’s title was inspired by his struggles and journey to his success. The record features some of the biggest names in South African music at the moment such as Ziyon, Thiwe, Dr. Malinga and many more.
I’d just like to personally congratulate Prince Kaybee on this massive milestone in his career. He has worked hard and truly deserves every bit of success.
