Jamaican singer OMI topped charts all around the world with his smash hit single Cheerleader and as the track still sits at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the singer has finally dropped his follow-up single – and it’s guaranteed to make you dance! The track serves as the second single off his upcoming album Me 4 U, which releases on October 16.
As with Cheerleader, this single follows the same recipe. The lyrics are super cheesy, there are elements of deep house blended with the island, tropical sound we have come to know and love OMI for, except this time he has added a bit of the saxophone to the song’s breakdown sections. The track is pop perfection and is bound to get stuck in your head from first listen.
OMI has definitely piqued our interest. We love how fresh his sound is and how you can’t help but feel good when listening to his music. It’s senseless pop music at its best and we can see this becoming another smash hit for the singer. From the songs we’ve heard, we can’t wait to see what else OMI has up his sleeve with his debut album!
