It’s always an exciting time when radio stations shake-up their line-ups – and that’s certainly the case with 5FM. The station’s former breakfast host Dan Corder recently left the station to focus on his new political talk show on eNCA which has left a major gap in the station’s schedule. Now, the station has revealed that drive host Nick Hamman will be taking over the 5 Breakfast show, where he’ll be joined by Thabo Baloyi, Xoli Zondo and Marli van Eeden.
Zanele Potelwa steps into the help as the station’s new drive host where she will be joined by Nick Archibald who will be moving from the Top 40 on 5 to co-host the show and anchor traffic. Yanga Mjoli, currently Zanele’s partner in crime, will also be joining the 5 Drive team, moving from 5 Lunch to 5 Drive to bring listeners all the breaking news they need to know.
5 Mid-mornings, weekdays from 09h00 to 12h00, will now feature news slots as well, with Yonaka Theledi, a familiar voice on 5FM’s weekend news slots, joining Stephanie Be in studio. 5 Lunch, weekdays from 12h00 to 15h00, will see, Lula Odiba, a brand-new addition to the 5FM team, moving in behind the mic as host, with 5 Drive’s Nadia Romanos moving to the 5 Lunch news desk.
The Saturday line-up will welcome “It’s Harry, baby!”, Harrison Mkhize, who currently hosts 5 Weekend Nights, as host of the Top 40 on 5, airing between 10h00. and 14h00.
