Friday is my favourite day of the week. Not only is the weekend so close, but it’s the day where all the new music drops around the world! Each week, I will pick my favourite new single releases and introduce you to the very best the music industry has to offer!
GOODLUCK – Find Me In The Forest
Their current single ‘Thinking About You’ has become one of their biggest singles yet and as local electronic group GOODLUCK prepare the release of their third studio album, they’ve dropped the next single off the project – ‘Find Me in The Forest’. The song has a South American sound which and is unlike anything I’ve heard from them before. I’ve had this on repeat for most of the day.
Craig David & Sigala – Ain’t Giving Up
Craig David hasn’t released an album in over six years but announced this morning that his new album ‘Following My Intuition’ drops later this year. He also dropped the lead single off the project which sees him collaborate with Sigala on the tropical house track ‘Ain’t Giving Up’. Dance music is sounding really great on Craig who also dropped a single with Hardwell today.
Michael Bublé – Nobody But Me
Now this has brightened my day! Michael Bublé today announced that he will be dropping his new album ‘Nobody But Me’ in October and will release the album’s title track as the lead single. The song features Black Thought (of The Roots) and sees the crooner take on the swing/funk genre unlike ever before. If the album is anything like this feel-good tune, then this album could be his best yet.
Coldplay – A Head Full Of Dreams
I’m not sure what Coldplay were thinking when they dropped ‘Up & Up’ as the fourth single off their latest album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ but it seems like they’ve abandoned that single and have chosen the album’s title track as the official fourth single. Although I don’t think this is the right single choice either, it the instrumentals are incredible and it’s a song that is bound to get stuck in your head for a while after hearing it.
