There’s a newbie on the local hip-hop scene that we cannot get enough of. Nasty C may only be 18, however, his raps are fantastic and he is as good of an MC as some of the rappers who have been in the game for years. His new single ‘Juice Back Remix’ features Nigerian star Davido and local heavyweight Cassper Nyovest and its lighting up the local hip-hop charts.
The track is pure fire and the track’s music video fits the song perfectly. Nasty C has released one of the catchiest choruses South African hip-hop has seen in months and we’re so happy to see that the local hip-hop scene is harvesting young talent. Davido and Cassper drop some great verses as well. Davido speaks about his recent robbery in Johannesburg and Cassper brags about his seven-figure deal with MTN.
Production-wise, the track is simple and doesn’t push boundaries – but it still brings the heat. We’ve had this song on repeat the whole holiday season and we’re so glad that the song finally has a music video. 2016 is the year of Nasty C! Keep an eye out on this lad.
