Nadia Nakai And Vic Mensa Drop Vibrant ‘Practice’ Music Video

She’s the queen of South African hip-hop and Nadia Nakai doesn’t stop! The singer just released a colourful video for her Vic Mensa-assisted single ‘Practice’ and proves she still has a lot more up her sleeve.

The song is the latest single off the star’s latest album ‘Nadia Naked II’ and sees the star join forces with the American rapper for a track fans have called ‘one of her best yet’.

As the track continues to climb radio charts, Nadia and Vic released a vibrant video for the track which was shot in January this year in Ghana. “Being able to shoot it with Vic while I was in Ghana was an experience I completely enjoyed and I hope that comes across to the fans who I know will love the video too!” Nadia says. “We were speaking in January, he said he was going to go to Ghana. So he couldn’t travel to South Africa at the time due to Covid restrictions, so I suggested we shoot the video in Ghana.

Nadia adds that the song came about after she struck up a conversation with the rapper in the DMs. “I think he was taking a sabbatical, he was quiet for some time and he posted a picture last year, saying that he’s back in the studio and I commented, I was like ‘yay, I’m so excited’ and a few minutes later he DM’d me saying I like your vibe, send me a couple of songs, so. The conversation moved from Instagram to Whatsapp,” Nadia explains.

Vic adds that shooting the video in Ghana was a very special moment for him. “I love Ghana, my father’s from Ghana, that was my fourth time in Ghana, and that made me realise how much more I need to be in Africa, particularly in Ghana. We had an amazing time … it was good and it got great when Nadia came, it was really special.”
