If you’re making you way to one of the Celtic Women shows this September, I’m happy to announce that the incredibly talented Mzansi Youth Choir will be the opening act! The choir will support the ladies on their 2-date Johannesburg tour and audiences are in for a treat!
The Mzansi Youth Choir are one of the best in the country and are bound to leave audiences in awe when they perform at Montecasino and Carnival City this September. The choir has performed in countries such as Canada, Denmark, England, Scotland and Turkey and received rousing standing ovations after their performance at the London Guildhall as well as at the Nelson Mandela Day/Commonwealth Games celebrations in Glasgow. Oh, and who can forget their epic performance alongside Shakira and Freshlyground during the 2010 FIFA World Cup?
Celtic Woman are bound to put on yet another incredible show here in Mzansi. They have been a hit with South African audiences for years and have toured the country a number of times. Their take on traditional Irish music and contemporary Celtic violins is incredible and their upcoming show is expected to be their best yet. Singing songs of love, loss, hope and inspiration, Celtic Woman has transcended national and cultural boundaries to celebrate the timeless emotion of Ireland’s centuries-old heritage, extending those vibrant musical traditions into the present day.
