South Africans all around the country woke up with a spring in their step. Not because we’re in September, but because today was the day Mumford & Sons tickets went on sale. But, the day was turned on its head for thousands of people as tickets to all three shows sold out in just 1 minute and 22 seconds! “South Africa, you are amazing! Mumford & Sons Live in South Africa SOLD OUT in 1 minute 22 seconds! We’re speaking to the band about additional dates,” Hilltop Live announced on their Facebook page this morning.
Now, this is actually incredible and just shows the craving South Africans have to watch these guys live! That being said, the venue choices are a bit strange so I can understand the frustrations many have encountered. Fans have been asking to see Mumford & Sons live for years so surely booking stadiums in the three cities would have made sense? Hopefully more dates are announced soon for this unmissable concert!
UPDATE: Hilltop Live have announced that the band have added another Cape Town show on the 30th of Jan 2015. Tickets go on sale September 4 at 09h00am at Computicket.
