Honestly, I don’t think there is a group as talented, clever and in tune with what the public want more than Mi Casa. The group is famous for blending dance, jazz and African elements in a unique way which speaks to music lovers of all genres. The group bring in 2017 with a bang as they team up with Nigerian afro-pop star Yemi Alade on their new single ‘Get Through This’.
Singing about the highs and lows of love, the song is surprisingly honest. The song is rich in African percussions, smooth, sexy vocals and incredible jazz elements. J’Something is an incredible artist and gives a stellar vocal performance. He uses his instrument in a variety of different ways on the song which shows just how talented he is. Yemi’s delivers a banging verse as well in a way which isn’t often heard in South African music giving the song a unique and international sounding edge. The production sees both acts step out of their comfort zone while staying true to the sound they have developed for themselves and the results are fantastic.
