Where in the world has Matthew Mole been? It’s been a while since we’ve heard new music from Matthew but he is ready to make his comeback! The singer has just released his new track, ‘Run’, the debut single off his upcoming second studio album of the same name. The album marks a new chapter in Matthew’s career and the album’s lead single is a refreshing indication of what’s to come. The singer has clearly done something right as the song shot to the top of the iTunes South Africa pop charts just days after its release.
With only one album to his name, Matthew Mole has already become a household sensation. ‘Run’ sees Matthew try something new as he mixes soft beats, tropical influences and the indie pop sound we know and love together – creating something fresh and unique. Vocally, Matthew delivers one of his most soothing performances to date while singing in a higher register than we’ve ever heard from him. Matthew also dropped an epic video to go along with the brand new single. The music video was directed by Bouwer Bosch and stars South African actor Armand Aucamp. “This was one of the most exciting concepts I’ve ever done,” Bouwer said. “The fact that Matthew Mole agreed on this concept just shows again how forward thinking he is with regards to creating music and content that inspires people but is also different to what is out there at the moment.” Matthew has put a lot of thought, effort and creativity behind his new music and I can’t wait for the album to drop.
