Majozi is an artist who isn’t afraid to say what he is feeling through song. In his latest single ‘Close To You’, the pop star shared the ultimate declaration of love to his girlfriend. The beautiful message is wrapped up in a catchy pop production.
Not shy to lay his feelings out with inspired love songs, Majozi once again bares his soul through his lyrics. Since stepping into the limelight with his first EP in 2013, Majozi has always paid homage to his personal inspiration – God, love and friendships.
With Close To You, Majozi, not only wanted to send a message to his beloved, but also put a smile on people’s faces and hopefully make their hips sway in the process.
Co-written by musical friend and peer, Jethro Tait, Close To You is everything you would expect from a Majozi hit, but with an extra twist, as he pushes his indie-folk roots a little further into the pop genre, with an 80’s-inspired big-build throw-back bridge of saxophone.
