Guys, I’m addicted to Carbs. Anything Italian actually. From pizza to pasta to their yummy desserts and even their cheese, I want it all. So I was so excited when I found out that Montecasino is having a ‘Made In Italy’ festival next month. Monte always kick ass with their festivals and this one is one I’m not going to miss.
Italian style, passion, food and wine will be showcased at the festival which will be held at the complex from the 6 – 8 May 2016 and best of all – entrance is free! The one thing I am really looking forward to is the live cooking demonstrations and tastings with celebrities and renowned chefs such as MasterChef South Africa judge, Benny Masekwameng, and the first winner of Master Chef South Africa, Deena Naidoo.
There is no doubt that an Italian Festival at Montecasino is a match made in heaven. Where else can you enjoy a Peroni lounge and movie screenings on the Piazza under a canopy of stars or spend time exploring the various stalls offering Italian specialties, such as antipasto, coffee, delectable cheeses, pasta making, a deli, fragrances and more.
The famous Ferrari Show Day will now also be a part of this festival where more than 80 of the top South African-owned Ferrari’s – from the oldest models through to the top of the range machines will take over the Outdoor Events Area on the last day of the festival.
