Louise Carver has had a phenomenal year so far. Her collaboration with American DJ, Joe Bermudez, ‘Sunrise’ reached the number one spot on the Billboard Dance Charts, she has been performing to sold out crowds around the country and internationally and has an awesome new bath bomb range. However, Louise’s momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon as she drops her beautiful new single ‘Lift Off’ – the lead single off her upcoming album ‘Hanging In The Void’.
I’ve been a fan of Louise for a very long time and I can comfortably say that this is one of my favourite tracks from her. Her vocal performance is stronger than ever and the simplistic production allows her voice to shine. Louise lets the listener in and the emotion shines through. The song is uplifting and carries a message so many of us need to be reminded at times. “I am so proud of ‘Lift Off’ – the message and emotion in the song is one of hope and a belief that even when things seem impossibly hard, you can move forward and find happiness,” Louise shares. “All my songs come from a place of emotional honesty and ‘Lift Off’ is one of my most vulnerable. I hope it gives people a lot of joy when they hear it.””
The singer also recorded an inspiring video to accompany the song which includes beautiful scenes of Johannesburg. Louise has done a fantastic job and cements her position as one of the best vocalists in the country. The upcoming album, produced by Mark Beling, has been called Louise’s best work to date. “Mark and I worked on ‘Hanging in the void’ for over a year and a half and it is how I always imagined creating music would be. We laughed, pulled our hair out and shared ideas, no ego, only the unwavering love of music with integrity. This album captures my heart,” Louise tells me. This is an incredible song and I’m so excited to hear what else she has been working on over the past few months.
