The Gallo Record Company is proud to announce the singing of new local star Loui Lvndn. The star, who hails from East London, is incredibly artistic and is excited to bring his progressive sound to the South African public. The EP,’Hikari’, reveals Loui Lvndn’s redefinition of what is possible within South Africa’s musical landscape.
Loui is incredibly proud of the project which features the likes of South African raised, Europe breakout artists Petite Noir and Spoek Mathambo. The record includes the popular tracks ‘Unlovingyouland’ and ‘Drugs’ and is a unique approach to music – a risk Loui is very excited about taking.
On the other creative fronts Loui Lvndn (real name Lutho Mtyamde) has a degree in Creative Brand communications and graduated cum laude from AAA School JHB. He has been nominated for four Loerie awards in the Creative Writing and Publication design categories and has won the Brand Council SA trophy for top design student 2015, the Newcast Trophy for top creative student and the AON Excellence Award for top overall creative student in SA.
Most recently he won a Pendoring Award for Craft Illustration for a book he designed while in college called 30 Years Of South Africa Illustrated – a written and graphic look at 30 key events that happened in our country since 1985. The book has also been nominated for two Loerie awards.
