Congratulations are in order! Locnville’s Andrew Chaplin finally got down on one knee and proposed to fiancé Alyssa Buettgen late last week – and we couldn’t be more thrilled for the adorable couple.
The two got engaged at a gallery in Cavalli Estate in Cape Town and are both excited to start this new chapter of their lives together. “It is with unbelievable pride that I get to announce that @alyssabuettgen is officially my fiancé,” Andrew posted on his social media pages shortly after he asked the million-dollar question. “I could not be happier and prouder to start this new journey with you! I liked it, so I put a ring on it.”

Alyssa added that “The man BEYOND my WILDEST dreams got down on one knee yesterday and asked me to be his Forever. Of course I said: OF COURSE!” she says. “Andrew Chaplin, nothing gives me greater honour than knowing I get to marry you oh-so-soon and that we get to spend the rest of our lives together. You’re the greatest man I know. Here’s to a lifetime of OF COURSE and YES!”
