Live To Perform In South Africa This November

Another exciting live act has announced that they will be playing in South Africa later this year. Known for their smash hit ‘Dolphin’s Cry’, Live have been named one of best, uhm, live acts in the world and today, the 25-year-old band announced that they are bringing their reunion tour to South Africa this November.

The group will play in Cape Town on the 7th of November and Pretoria on the 10th of November where they will officially be the first international act to play at the exciting new Sun Arena at Time Square. The tour is the first since lead singer Ed Kowalczyk re-joined the band last year. This means, the original +LIVE+ line-up – Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer(bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion) will reunite for this worldwide tour.

“Fans of Live have always shown incredible support when this band tours SA,” says AMP CEO Andy Mac. “We saw all tickets sell-out in record time when their lead singer Ed Kowalczyk toured Joburg and Cape Town in 2015 for the Throwing Copper Anniversary Tour. We expect the same to happen for this reunion tour. Bands with a great legacy, such as Live, are the reason I started AMP Events and I can’t wait to see these guys rock out on stage.”

2017 is a special time for the band because it represents 25 years since they released their debut album ‘Mental Jewelry’. The multi-platinum band from Pennsylvania have sold over 22 million albums worldwide and earned two number one albums (Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi). Their catalogue is filled with such gems as Lightning Crashes, I Alone, All Over You, and Lakini’s Juice, which +LIVE+ on today as classics at rock radio.

The group promise epic shows on their upcoming trip to South Africa and, naturally, can’t wait to perform for their South African fans.
