The X Factor UK alumni, Little Mix, have become one of the most successful acts to have come out of the show. The group already have two albums under their belt and they’re releasing their third studio album, Get Weird, today. The album’s lead single, ‘Black Magic’, did great things for the group and as they prepare for the new album’s release, the girls have chosen ‘Love Me Like You’ as the official second single off the project.
The track has an old-school vintage Motown sound to it with some electronic elements added throughout the song. Since the girls come from a reality TV background, it’s obvious that their vocals would be strong. Individually and collectively, the girls sound great on each and every second throughout the song.
The song, however, sounds incredibly dated. We’re glad to see that the band is exploring their sound and changing it up a little but we’re not sure this song will help them sell more copies of their upcoming album. While we’re not the biggest fans of this song, ‘Black Magic’ is one of our favourite songs this year and we can’t wait to hear what Little Mix deliver on their new album.
