She may be new to the game, but Zinah is certainly making the local music space sit up and listen. Her hit single ‘Good’ topped radio charts around the country and her follow-up ‘Feeling Fine’ proved that she was no one-hit wonder. Now, the ‘Reno Race’ presenter has released her debut EP ‘Rose Garden’ as she gives fans a first look into who she is as an artist.
The project features the star’s two latest singles ‘Winner’ and ‘Make It Rain’, two very different tracks highlighting different parts of her personality. Reminiscent of Ariana Grande’s earlier work, Zinah continues to surprise fans with each track on the six-track project.
“Rose Garden is growth in every sense of the word. Rose is my mother’s name which I adopted when I created Zinah. My mother is a person who is unapologetically herself and she’s not moved by negativity or bad days. She’s one of the most positive people I know,” Zinah explains.
She adds “My life is like a garden of roses. There are different colours that represent different phases of my life. It embodies my personality. And then you get the thorns. These are the hardships, the days I don’t feel the best, the days I feel like giving up. The heartbreaks and loss of friendships. Rose Garden is my life in its different phases, and I’m excited to share the many pieces that make me who I am.”
