Kwesta is back, Mzansi! Today, the prolific rapper drops his first studio album in over five years and effortlessly reminds fans why he is one of the most successful rappers to have ever come out of the country.
The album, titled ‘g.o.d Guluva’ features 15 brand-new tracks including collaboration with the likes of Reason, Focalistic, KiD X, Yanga Chief, Thabsie and more.
The album is a homage to growing in the township. Sonically, Kwesta steps out of his comfort zone with this release which sees him experiment with aspects of rap, kwaito and amapiano.
In a recent interview, Kwesta admits that he wanted to try something new and experiment with a different musical approach than what he released on his latest album ‘DAKAR II’ – and the results speak for themselves.
