Afrikaans pop star Lee Scott has released a special cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Divide’ closing track ‘Supermarket Flowers’ as a dedication to his mother just in time for Mother’s Day. The star released a touching black and white video of him performing the song accompanied by images of hiss fans and their mothers in this touching tribute.
Lee said that he wanted to honour his mother with the cover this Mother’s Day because it’s one of his favourite pieces of music – and it’s the perfect track to honour mothers around the world with. “Ed Sheeran’s ‘Supermarket Flowers’ is one of my favourite songs. This is most likely one of the best songs ever written and it is a pleasure performing this emotional and beautiful song.”
He adds that “With Mother’s Day around the corner, I thought to do something special for all the mother’s out there,” Lee says. “I know what my mom means to me and I want to thank everyone for sharing their photographs with their mother for this special project.”
