Lady Zamar Makes A Musical Comeback With Vibey New Single ‘Find Me Now’

Anyone else really miss hearing new music from Lady Zamar? Mzansi’s First Lady of Dance is back this week with a banging new single as she officially enters a new musical chapter in her illustrious career.

The new single, titled ‘Find Me Now’ was written by the hitmaking artist in partnership with Idol’s SA’s new judge and popular local producer, JR. To introduce her new and revamped sound, Zamar further worked with Dlala Mlungu and Dlala Global on production to bring us her new potential hit single.

The song, which will feature on her upcoming album ‘Red’, comes 3-years since the Collide hitmaker released new music, and it’s great to see her sound evolve during her time off.

On Find Me Now, Lady Zamar continues her quest to put the words about her experience in finding and keeping love, whilst still keeping her crossover signature sound. The star took to social media to express her excitement about releasing a new single and has promised to potentially drop an album this year.

“‘Find Me Now’ is a song about self-love, finding love, having hope and figuring things out. It was a song born of personal truth because my whole life, all I’ve ever wanted was to find true love and to be swept away by horses and dream chariots but after having gone through a life-changing experience and being in isolation for so long, I had to find a sense of truth for myself,” the singer tells us.

She adds “The journey to finding love begins in finding love for yourself, forgiving yourself and having the strength to start again. So instead of trying to find the perfect person I choose to become the me I want to find and believe that eventually love will come find me when it’s ready to.”

On working with JR on the new single, Lady Zamar says “I asked JR to help because he is a believer and advocator of the arts and I knew he would help me say what I needed to say in the simplest way.”

She continues by saying that she added her own flavour to the already popular Amapiano genre on this track. “We chose Amapiano reimagined because piano has become a revolutionary genre of music which speaks to the plight to be free and unbothered. As a person who started in the commercial scene with broken beats, it felt fitting to step into the age of Amapiano in my own unique way. It’s not what I’d typically release, but in respect of art and the ever-changing world of music, it’s exciting to try something different and try something amazing.”
