It’s been two and a half years since local electronic act The Kiffness released their debut album ‘Kiff’ and the act just announced their new album in the best way possible – by reinventing the picture Beyoncé used for her record-breaking Instagram pregnancy announcement. The hilarious image was captioned ‘Thrilled to announce I’m expecting an album mid 2017’ and it’s exactly the news we’ve been waiting for!
Although the group has remained in the public eye thanks to their latest singles ‘You Say You Love Me’ and ‘Love Go Cold’ featuring Josh Wantie and hilarious public statements (remember when they took on Telkom’s talking baby ad, Woolies’ thin mannequins and called out Oppikoppi for not paying them months after the gig?), fans have been craving a new record from the group. The Kiffness have heard the prayers from their fans around the country and will officially be releasing a new album this May.
Their recent singles have been fantastic and if the album is anything as good as their recent material and as funny as the album announcement, the group could have another fantastic release on their hands. Bring on the new music!
