I have been a fan of Joshua Na Die Reën for a very long time. He has such a special way with words and his music touches me to my very core. The emotion pours out of his heart in each and every song and he captivates me with his honesty. So, I are excited that the singer released the official music video for his hit single ‘Die Wêreld Binne My’.
The song has been a massive hit over the past few months as the singer releases a raw, touching song that sees him stay true to the contemporary sound which he thrives in. As with his previous releases, the song has a combination of moving life lessons and poignant melodies and it’s that that has made so many around the country identify with the singer.
“The best understanding I have of life is that we all mature differently and at our own pace, which determines how we feel, live, see and understand certain things. This creates a unique world inside each person. I think that the biggest mistake humanity has made, throughout the decades, was to judge each other’s worlds and divide them into classes,” the singer says of the inspiration behind the song. “The message behind the song is that everybody’s world is equal and that each and every person has a valuable take on life. I believe that if we are able to realise this, we will be able to truly experience how beautiful life is! God wants mankind to live in peace and unity, despite of our difference.”
Now, Joshua Na Die Reën has finally released the track’s official music video. The video is beautifully shot with many light and soft tones to replicate the sound of the song. “I wanted to capture the contrast between the different parts of the world inside and outside us and used different elements from nature, like water, mountains, stars, plains etc. to illustrate this,” Joshua says of the video. “It is difficult to sketch the complexity of the world inside of us, but I hope this video will help people realise that there are a lot of beautiful things happening on the inside and outside.”
