His hits like ‘Head & Heart’, ‘I Wish’ and ‘Lonely’ have cemented the newcomer as a dance sensation and a phenomenal producer and just when we thought he has shown us everything he has up his sleeve, he drops his new David Guetta and Bryson Tiller-assisted new single ‘What Would You Do?’
For the first time, the star blends R&B with his signature dance sound – and it works! The song features writing and background vocals from previous Joel Corry collaborator, MNEK and gives fans something fresh and unique from the DJ.
“It was a pleasure to collaborate with David Guetta again and work with an amazing talent like Bryson Tiller”, explains Joel. “This song has a magical energy that feels fresh and timeless.”
On working with Tiller, Joel explains “We jumped on a Zoom—I was in Dubai, Bryson was in L.A. and David was in London. I was in my hotel room at like, 3 a.m. Bryson said he loved the record and wanted to jump on it—it’s a step out of his comfort zone, he said he wanted to do more dance music.”
Corry added, “He totally nailed it, I think his fans are going to love it. I’m kind of OCD with the records, I’ll drive people crazy with the amount of versions I make, but he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I was actually with him last week filming the music video in LA.”
‘What Would You Do?’ forms Joel’s second official collaboration with David Guetta after the pair first joined forces on Joel’s platinum-selling single, ‘BED’, alongside RAYE last spring – a track that has now racked up over 500 million global streams.
