When it was announced that the popular Comic Con franchise would be expanding to Africa with their first exhibition in 2018, excitement was rife around the country and as the countdown to the 15th and 16th of September has begun, Reed Exhibitions Africa, ReedPOP and VS Gaming have confirmed that Jason Momoa will be headlining the event. Jason is well-known for his legendary roles as Aquaman in Warner Bros’ Justice League and as the Dothraki warlord “Khal Drogo” in Game of Thrones which makes him the candidate to appear in the first Comic Con in Africa.
Comic Con Africa is a 3 day event showcasing comic books and science fiction/fantasy related film, television, and similar popular arts. The exhibition will also feature a larger range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres, including animation, toys, gadgets, clothing, collectible card games, table top games, anime, manga, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels.
Jason is the first guest confirmed by Comic Con but rumours that stars from Game Of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory are just some of the familiar faces heading to our shores later this year. The exhibition exciting activations to enjoy that include professional gaming tournaments and activations, cosplay competitions, and new movie and series promotions. Comic Con Africa visitors can also enjoy international and local celebrity panel discussions, seminars, workshops and autograph sessions.
