Local pop singer Hanco forced Mzansi to sit up and listen when he dropped his debut album ‘Echo’ and now, as he starts his new musical era, the young musician has released his highly-anticipated comeback single ‘Sugar Rush’.
The 23-year-old shows off a different side to his artistry with the new single. The single cements Hanco as one of the most exciting pop acts in the country right now. ‘Sugar Rush’ is well written and the slick production helps sets the track apart.
The catchy track has subtle country elements blended together with pop and electronic elements and a big anthemic chorus and the new direction showcases Hanco’s growth as a musician over the years – something that is incredibly exciting to see.
“‘Sugar Rush’ is about the highs and the lows in a relationship,” Hanco explains. “The song is about that sugar rush feeling you do get when you are in a relationship. The song is about that excited feeling in a relationship we all get and I am very excited for everyone to finally hear it.”
