Glen21 Entertainment made fans around the country incredibly excited with their newly-launched Hey Neighbour Festival which is set to take place in December this year. The team, who recently worked on the Tamia, Boyz II Men, Scorpion Kings, and Inkabi Zezwe (Biz Zulu and Sjava) tours, said they wanted to create an exciting, new property and bring out acts South Africans have been waiting to see live for a very long time.
“It’s a global gathering, a vibrant celebration of music, culture, and most importantly, community. It’s where the unfamiliar face in the crowd becomes the friend you dance with. It’s where diversity isn’t just welcomed, it’s celebrated. It’s where music, the universal connector, weaves a tapestry of shared experiences, creating memories that last a lifetime,” the company said in a statement about the new festival.
Phase one tickets go on sale this week and the group has confirmed that R&B sensation H.E.R., EDM superstars The Chainsmokers and popular R&B newcomer Khalid will be performing at the inaugural festival.
The festival will take place from 8 to 10 December at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria. Food, drinks, merchandise, entertainment activities, activation stations, and accommodation options will be available at the festival, and details about these festival features will be announced in due course.
“Hey Neighbour promises a sonic journey unlike any other. From the freshest, most exciting talent on the scene, to the chart-topping legends, we are committed to showcasing artists who are making waves and shifting paradigms in the music world,” added Glen21. “We’re absolutely buzzing to launch this incredible new festival. We’ve put heart, soul, and a whole lot of rhythm into planning this event, and to finally share this news is a truly special moment. We’re confident that the world-class production and diverse lineup will create an experience that leaves an indelible mark on every attendee, fostering friendships that echo across the globe.”
