Although it didn’t become a huge hit, we were obsessed with Gwen Stefani’s latest single ‘Used To Love You’. The track was incredibly personal and emotional. Since the release of the single, Gwen has been in studio recording her highly anticipated third studio album ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like’ and today, she dropped a brand new single off the project – a song called ‘Make Me Like You’.
The track is an up-tempo track from the star and reminds us a lot of her No Doubt sound with an added pop punch. The track is a happier track from the singer who has sought solace in music to get over her recent divorce. We’re assuming that the song is about The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, and we love it! The beat is funky and Gwen’s vocals shine on the song. It’s really great to see her have fun again on her music.
Gwen hasn’t released an album since 2006’s ‘The Sweet Escape’ and has a lot to prove on the new record. We hope that the album has fun, silly elements like she has on her previous albums. Sure, Gwen has grown up a lot but we’re not sure if we are keen on listening to her divorce therapy sessions on the new record. That being said, this track is a jam!
