Vinyls are making a comeback in the biggest way possible. Artists such as Kings of Leon, AKA, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, David Guetta, Bobby Van Jaarsveld, Tove Lo and many more are releasing their new material on vinyl and the demand is just getting bigger. Next month, vinyl dealers from across South Africa will be selling old and new material at te Joburg Record Fair to be held at the Marks Park Sports Club.
The event promises over 20,000 records in one place and will offer some rare gems as well as the album you are looking for to play on your player at home. As well as buying, the record fair is the ideal place to value your rare records or inquire about selling your unwanted vinyl collection.
The festival will not only cater to vinyl junkies as the fair will offer CD and DVD dealers for the more modern music enthusiast as well as a vintage fashion and retro flea market on the lawns, live music entertainment courtesy of BOOSH and featuring top local acts including Shortstraw among others, as well as a selection of mouth-watering street cuisine and a craft beer record bar among other attractions.
