South African music is getting better and better as the days go by. 947 Highveld Stereo and KFM have also been innovative enough to change their weekly Top 40 SA chart to feature songs downloaded off iTunes instead of a generic radio chart. Tomorrow, the stations launch their new partnership with Coke and will have local muso’s Gangs of Ballet, TiMo ODV and Daniel Baron premiering their new singles.
The artists used their socials to get involved in a campaign to get involved with the chart, and all posed beautifully with their Coca-Cola cans as they call on their fans to listen to tomorrow’s chart to hear their singles on radio for the first time anywhere.
Gangs of Ballet and TiMO ODV even have a bit of friendly competition going on to see whose track can reach the top of the charts fastest which will, of course, be determined by the fans who buy the singles on iTunes that day! Tomorrow’s chart will be broadcast live from Sandton City so make sure you head there between 10am and 2pm. Who knows, you may even bump into some of your favourite artists!
