Swedish duo, Galantis, have released smash hits such as Runaway (U & I), Peanut Butter Jelly and You and performed a banging set at Ultra South Africa. Now, Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson, and Linus Eklöw have chosen to release In My Head as the next single off their debut album Pharmacy and it’s exactly the banger we were hoping from the group.
The song is a dance track which, although more generic than their previous singles, is something we’ve yet to hear from Galantis. The baseline is beautifully produced and the beat will set clubs all around the world alight. The one thing that really impressed me is just how brilliantly the song has been written. It’s clear that the group aren’t just producers but spend a lot of time focusing on the lyrical content of a song. I also loved the amalgamation of female vocals with a deep audio effect on the song and the brilliant video that goes along with it.
Anyone who saw them live this past weekend will know that the duo are incredibly talented. I’m really enjoying this song and it’s already on my gym playlist. Galantis are one of the most exciting acts in dance music at the moment and this track proves that they’ve got what it takes to compete with the very best.
