South African rocker, Francois Van Coke, is hot off the heels of releasing his debut self-titled solo album and his single with Karen Zoid, Toe Vind Ek Jou, has become one of the biggest singles of his career. Now the singer has chosen Behoort Aan Niemand Nie as the official second single from the record and dropped the official music video today.
The track, while undeniably rock, still reveals a delicate side of Francois. According to the singer, the song is a declaration of his independence. He has one of the most distinct voices on the South African music scene. We love how the song has harder elements of rocked paired with a more emotional, subtle vocals on his part. The video is also really fantastic because it show’s Francois’ growth throughout the 12 years he has been making music.
We were really impressed with Francois’ new material and his latest record has been on repeat over the past few weeks. He is a true artist and we’re so proud that this is the state the Afrikaans music scene is in at the moment. Congrats, Francois!
