He made quite an impact as Gus in the brilliant movie ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ but while the actor stars in other films such as the Divergent franchise and the upcoming Billionaire Boys Club, Ansel Elgort is also a singer.
Ansel recently signed to Island Records and has just released his first major single – a song called ‘Thief’. The song is a moody pop track which has a distinct 80’s sound blended with a relevant, current pop sound and shows us a side of the singer we’ve never seen before. Vocally, Ansel does a fantastic job. He has a strong, clear vocal which doesn’t seem to need much editing. He seems incredibly comfortable in this genre and teases fans with the perfect introductory single (although he has made music before under the pseudonym Ansolo).
The singer also dropped an awesome video for the song which is part American Psycho, part Fifty Shades of Grey. Real-life girlfriend Violetta Komyshan stars alongside the actor in the incredibly sexy video which, surprisingly, fits the song incredibly well. Ansel is ready to take on the music industry and after hearing this song, I have high hopes for him.
