Faith K has certainly been putting the work in when it comes to her new material – and the proof is in the pudding. As she embarks on a new musical era, the rapper premiered her new hit ‘Bounce’ earlier this month. Now, she’s dropped her second full-length project titled ‘Nangena’.
The ten-track album features Gigi Lamayne, Zingah, and Money Badoo. The title was inspired by the Tsonga word Nangena which means “I’m going in,” and this energy is executed throughout the album as Faith paints the details of her experiences since her K’Loud EP release in 2020.
Tracks on the album, such as ‘You,’ feature Faith’s softer side as an R&B artist, while others, like ‘Midas,’ show a harder side of her as a rapper.
“My goal was to really hone on my experiences from the pandemic and my experiences in general that people would be able to relate to,” says Faith K. “I hope that when people have a chance to listen to ‘Nangena’ that they’re able to identify with the music.”
