Euphonik is back at it again! He started 2016 off with his banging Mi Casa-assisted single ‘Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend’ which has become one of the most downloaded singles of the year. Now, as summer gets nearer, the DJ has dropped his new single ‘It’s A Fine Day’ – a cover of the popular track by Jane which Opus III made popular back in 1992. The track has gone on to become one of the most popular dance singles in the world so it’s no surprise that Euphonik chose to add his own spin to this track.
The DJ teamed up with Zandra on vocals and man, does she slay! The singer effortlessly hits the high notes in the song – something that isn’t that easy to do. Euphonik gave the track an awesome African feel with an international dance appeal which I think was done really well. The song has only just been released but has already made an impact and has already hit number 11 on the South African Shazam charts. The single is fire and I know I will be jamming to it all summer long.
Other than new music, Euphonik has also made quite a big change in his radio career. The DJ has announced that he will be joining popular Johannesburg-based station 947. The DJ has secured two exciting slots on the station. He will be hosting his very own show eUNITE with Euphonik, every Sunday from this week between 18h00-20h00. He will also kick start the weekend with a mix on the Afternoon Drive with Anele Mdoda just after 18h00 each Friday. The star is known for his charismatic presenting style and hot mixes and he’s excited to extend his footprint by joining the popular station. “My years at 5FM presented an amazing journey but the time has come to open a new chapter, starting with 947,” says Euphonik on his new move.
