Entries Are Now Open For My Kitchen Rules Season Four

Reality shows centred around food is certainly a sweet spot for South African television viewers. Just days after Shawn Godfrey won the fourth season of MasterChef South Africa, M-Net has announced that My Kitchen Rules will be returning for a fourth season this year.

Dubbed TV’s most high-pressure reality show, My Kitchen Rules will be back on local screens from September 2022 – and M-Net is looking for home cooks to take part in the show’s upcoming season.

Chef David Higgs and award-winning artist, cook, guitarist and vocalist J’Something will return as hosts for the highly-anticipated new season.

“My Kitchen Rules South Africa gets better with each season, because the calibre of home cooks also gets better and better. This past season we saw that the pandemic and lockdowns really resulted in many people killing it in the kitchen, and we know that we can expect the same – or possibly even better – this time around,” says MKRSA’s J’Something.

How does it work? The fantastic amateur cooking pairs who make the cut start off in an Instant Restaurant round, where they host their competitors and our two celebrity judges with a themed three-course dinner.
Those who don’t get chopped move on to the Challenge Round where they go against each other in various cooking challenges. Talk about turning the heat all the way up!

At the end of it all, the newest wearers of the MKRSA crown – R1-million richer emerge! Could it be you?
Head to MKR-SA-S4 Entry Link, fill out the online application form and send us a video of you and your teammate putting your best dish forward. Entries close on Sunday, 8 May 2022.

Don’t forget – the best MKRSA teams have a pre-existing and strong relationship – whether you’re mates, partners or family. Both teammates must be 18 years or older on 30th April 2022.
