He made headlines around the country when he was surprised with a record deal from Select Music and Sony Music live on Bok Radio last year and after months of writing and recording, Elandré is ready for his big debut. As he puts the final touches on his upcoming debut album ‘Kelindorp-dromer’, the star has finally released his debut single ‘Afrikaans Sal Bly’.
Elandré has a beautifully strong vocal which draws a listener in with every single note. It’s rich in emotion and when paired with his deep, poetic lyrics, magic happens. Elandré is a breath of fresh air and his uniqueness ensures that he will quickly become one of the most exciting new Afrikaans acts this year.
“Releasing an album is a dream I’ve dreamed ever since my childhood,” the star explains. “It’s a surreal experience – almost as if my brain and my heart can’t make sense of it. I am thankful for everyone who helped make this dream a reality. Without each one of you, I would never be able to do what I do.” Elandré’s debut album is scheduled for a 1 September release and is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
