Back in March, American pop sensation Demi Lovato made her musical comeback as she premiered the self-love anthem ‘I Love Me’. Demi described the song as “fun and lighthearted” with “a positive upbeat message.” Now, she’s changing the game yet again as she premieres the official ’emo version’ of the track – with Travis Barker giving the track his own spin.
Alongside additional vocals from the Blink 182 star, the new version also includes heavier drums and electric guitar and gives the track a new ‘umph’. The single arrives with a nostalgic, Myspace-themed lyric video which serves as the ultimate throwback.
This isn’t the first time Lovato and Barker have teamed up on a project. The two artists had previously worked together on the music video for Lovato’s 2013 hit ‘ Really Don’t Care’.
Since the release of the original version of the track, Demi has also collaborated with Sam Smith on a new track titled ‘I’m Ready’ and is using this time in quarantine to work on her upcoming studio album which is scheduled to be released later this year.
